నరసింహ క్షేత్రాలు- అనంతపురం జిల్లా

ఈ టపా లో జిల్లాల వారిగా నరసింహ క్షేత్రాలు ఒకదాని తర్వాత ఒకటి ప్రచురితం అవుతాయి ఒక నెల రోజుల పాటు.
మనకి తెలియని యెన్నో క్షేత్రాలు తెలుస్తాయి అని ఆశిస్తూ ఒక చిన్న ప్రయత్నముగా ఈ టపా.

1) Laksminarasimhaswami Temple

The legendary significance of this sacred shrine dates back to Tretayuga, and according to local version, the presiding deity Narasimhaswamy in His terrific aspect - Vugrarupa chose to settle down here after killing Hiranyakasipu.There are two more versions signifying the glory of this kshetra. In the dim past, there was a tree called nadira in this place and the Lord revealed His Narasimharupa to a devotee, who did penance under it for years.

According to third legend, the place Khadiri derived its name from a. hill bearing the imprint of Sri Mahavishnu 'Kha' stands for the foot of Vishnu and 'adri' mean hill. When combined it becomes Khadiri and means a hill having the foot prints of Mahavishnu.

Thus sanctified, this region has been luring the ardent theists since Tretayuga in an unending streams, who offer prayers after crossing the hurdles set up by the Satanic forces.

The amazing thing about this temple which was supposed to be built during the period of Rayalus is, after the daily abhishekam is performed to the murthy in the temple, the murthy sweats and as long as the archakas keep pressing off the sweat, it keeps coming out.

This sacred kshetra lies in Kadiri, the taluq headquarters of the same name in the Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh and is accessible by bus and train.

2) Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple

The Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple is located amidst lush greenery, on the banks of a rivulet of Pennar. Myth has it that this temple was built on the footprint of

Lord Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy measuring 5 feet 3 inches.

The temple is a popular location for marriage ceremonies. A grand car festival is conducted annually in the month of April. Other temples within the complex include Adi Laxmi Devi Temple & Chenchu Laxmi Devi Temple.Located at a distance of 12kms, from Uravakonda and 36kms, from Anantapur, it is well-linked by road with frequent bus service.
